Nutritional Counseling

Taking a hard look at the foods you eat and how they’re making your feel is an important step in improving how you feel and look, and how well your body bounces back from illness. As a registered dietician, Lyell is equipped to analyze your current diet and advise you on how making dietary changes can be one of the most productive and fulfilling steps you can take toward better health.

MONITORING YOUR DIET

Lyell’s clients begin by keeping a food log, which gives her an inside peek at typical food and beverage consumption. She looks at how much of these are whole foods versus foods that include chemical additives and preservatives. She also determines caloric need based on age, gender, height, weight and level of activity.

This information, along with the other information Lyell obtains on each client, helps create a comprehensive picture of nutrient consumption and whether or not a person is absorbing the level of nutrients to stay healthy and well.

Similar to the Lifestyle Coaching, these regular appointments following the initial assessment, provide a level of insight to help with weight loss and other problems that are caused by a poor or insufficient diet.
