How To Keep Health During The COVID-19 Crisis

Let God keep you healthy during the COVID-19 crisis.

Good Morning! Our help comes from the Lord, but let us do our part as well. God is good and He made the body to heal. God also gave Us everything we need to heal and stay healthy.

Help God to help you.


– Treat your body well
– Lowering inflammation helps the body work better

That means you won’t get sick as easily and you will heal more quickly if do you get sick.

Do this by eating foods from the garden and eating meat sparingly. Lots of plants, less animals and just a little sugar.

Eat an abundance of:

  • Fruits
  • Vegetables
  • Grains
  • Beans
  • Nuts
  • Seeds

Eat less of:

  • Meats (includes seafood, poultry, all animal protein)
  • Dairy
  • Sweets

My Advice: Right now with the COVID-19 virus, which targets the respiratory system, I would urge you to cut out ALL dairy, as it encourages mucus production which creates an optimal environment for the virus to take hold.

Here is a short list of things you may already have in your kitchen to use for strengthening your body and immune system.

Use these herbs/spices DAILY in your food, they are great for the respiratory system and/or have antiviral properties.

SPICES

  • Garlic Fresh/raw – crush & mix with olive oil
  • Star Anise Find this at Hispanic markets/section
  • Thyme Fresh or dried
  • Horseradish
  • Mustard Seeds or powder
  • Cardamom
  • Ginger
  • Turmeric

FRUIT

Pomegranate Fresh or juice – studies show extract kills the flu virus. All fruit rich in vitamin C – citrus and berries, kiwi etc. Note: sweet potatoes are high in vitamin C

The First 5 spices are most beneficial, use Google to find ways to use them in dishes if you are not familiar with them

Sar Anise makes a nice tea, if you don’t like the taste of anise put a cinnamon stick in with it to cover the taste of the anise.
